NAR's Definition

The National Association of REALTORS® introduced IDX MLS Rules over 2 decades ago. In giving these rules they made some parts required and some parts optional. We know the difference.

Local Rules

We always request the IDX Rules from any local Board, Association, or MLS corporation before launching a website in a new location.

API vs RETS

Whether your MLS Vendor uses API or RETS as their preferred method of transferring listing data we can do it! Some Boards are dropping RETS in favor of the newer API transfer standards.

Bottom Line

Your clients and visitors won’t need to go anywhere else to search and view the listings that are in your MLS. Once they register on your site they can save their searches and choose to be emailed or texted about new listings and price changes.

Our History

We are a team of designers and programmers who have been involved in the real estate industry before the Internet was a glimmer in Al Gore’s eye. Members of our company have been involved in multiple Associations and Boards in positions from working the Front Desk to MLS Directors to Association Executives. We watched the switch from printed MLS books to distributed databases that were updated nightly by dial-up modem to the Internet based MLS services used by all Associations today.

During those times we have been to dozens of NAR and State conventions, MLS

Vendor conferences, and attended workshops involved in the earliest discussions regarding the formation of Internet Data Exchange and VOW policies and rules. You can count on your website being 100% compliant with IDX rules at the National, State, and Local levels.

The MLS Vendor that your MLS uses will allow website vendors such as DMW to obtain the data used on your website to be gathered by either RETS (old) or API (new). We use both methods. Some MLS vendors still only have RETS, while others have dropped that completely and require API to be used. We have you covered.
